OpeSUSE, like Fedora, doesn’t support non-free/proprietary formats in the community version. So, if you want to use proprietary or restricted codecs you will have to install restricted formats. It’s extremely easy using openSUSE KDE.

Xtables-addons is a package that obsoletes the old patch-o-matic repository for the Linux kernel and iptables. Instead of patching the kernel source, extensions are built as modules and thus allow extending kernels without recompilation.

Release Notes: This release fixes an infinite loop in xt_ipv4options, fixes a WARN_ON in xt_ECHO, and adds checksumming and IPv6 thereto. ipset 6.10 is provided with a TCP port name and ICMP4/6 type/code parser fix.

WidgetServer is a Java/XML server-side GUI-framework which enables an application to run as either a monolithic Swing app, a client/server Swing app, or as a Web app without any change and without loss of functionality. An Eclipse Plugin is available as well. A rich widget set is supported that includes tree views, tabbed panes, split panels, and much more. Animations, all types of events, and several effects are supported, as well. A unified widget-based, object-oriented programming interface for Web and Swing GUIs is offered to the developer to control and assemble the GUI. Web applications are fully AJAX enabled. For Swing client/server applications, the framework handles client/server communication, including compression and security layers.

Release Notes: The release includes some bugfixes in the WiClipse Plugin and brings an enhanced autocomplete function for finding images. A bug concerning animated components with shadows or reflections has been fixed. A new example app (mini-mail-reader) is included as a full Eclipse project.

Wolf Software Sudoku Solver Class is a complete Sudoku solver class that will attempt to solve any given Sudoku.

Release Notes: This class has been extended so that it will now solve Sudoku puzzles of any size (4×4, 9×9, 16×16, etc.) Larger puzzles can take a long time to solve.

Feed4JUnit makes it easy to write parameterized tests for the JUnit framework and feed them with predefined or randomly generated test data: test case data can be read from Excel or CSV files, databases, or custom data sources, and equivalence class tests can be defined easily. Setup is based on Java annotations and is easy to learn, apply, and maintain. Annotations defined in the "Bean Validation" JSR 303, Java 7, and Benerator are automatically recognized and generated smoke test data will match the constraints. By connecting to Benerator, you can configure generation of complex valid and invalid data sets.

Release Notes: Full JavaBean graphs can be imported from a CSV file. CSV files may now have data columns instead of data rows.
